It was great, actually, loved the wit, but there seems to be something wrong with the statement, "well i guess your not as dumb after all..."
Also, I loved the text, but I think there's actually a plug-in for Flash that does that for you, but I could be mistaken.
Anyway, you did great, and I love the minimalistic take on it! Keep it up!
Quite frankly, I know what you're trying to do, and I'm all for it. I'm sayin', it's easy to watch, and I'm not even going to say anything about the voices, but what REALLY got me was the subtitles.
I'm thinking that Kratos, Kratus, and Kratoss are the same people, right? Also, punctuation makes a big difference, and what were Oden? Those big mushroom fella's?
Anyway, the flash seems to have a firm foundation. The music was nifty, and I know how it is with low-budget animation, so, I guess my advice is to spend slightly more time on everything: animation's smoothness, the effects (and trying to display them--I had no idea why people were turning into balls for), and maybe invest in a graphics tablet if you don't have one.
Keep it up, though. It looks like a very promising series.
Man, I don't know what everyone's talking about; I, for one, loved this game, it's better than all those other Rock-Out games (you have my vote, at least), because, let's face it, the others have the one thing really going for all of them: some cheap imitation of Guitar Hero.
I've never played this game, by the way, this Elite Beat Agents...in fact, I don't even own a Nintendo DS (nor do I support Nintendo in any way, after Super Mario Sunshine...ick. Morals.), and maybe that's why I found this game so much fun, especially the last song.
From what I hear, though, it's supposed to have some kooky graphics in the background, and, just to piss you off, I'll say it, too. This game would be better with them (don't feel bad, though, I believe I'm empathetic your situation...).
The beats, from what I can see, are a little off, but that's just because I've been a percussionist all my life, and we pick up on the slightest things in the world. I didn't find it nothing to be too stressed out about, like some people on here, and I know how hard it is to match up a tempo of 120+ with only 24 (or 12, or whatever) frames/sec, so I'm empathetic about that, as well.
I do hope you'll release a full-er one, use this as a beta or something, and build on it. I had a blast with it, for the ten-or-so minutes I played (the songs are a bit repetitive).
If I were to suggest anything, I'd say J-pop or J-rock (just because it seems so fitting, although I understand the confusion over the music), and, seeing how it's already "stealing" ideas, as one so eloquently wrote earlier, if you really felt like adding background animation, just take a few sprite videos and toss 'em all together for the backgrounds.
Thanks a lot for the review.
I do agree with you with the graphics in the background and all but I can't draw it xD. Next time, I'll ask my friend to help out.
This one is basically a beta because I didn't release it to see the comments that everyone had. In the next release, I'll be sure to add more songs and stuff. I especially like J-pop and J-rock so I would put those there.
Well, I'm glad that you liked playing it :D!
I'd like to bend this video over a barstool and fuck its brains out.
Mmm.
Also, a fun little thing to do, if you move the window it's in horizontally, it looks like the train goes either really slow, or really fast.
I found that very, very amusing.
These are getting really, really, really old.
I guess the best way to improve the series is to let it die (I know, I'm going to have SO MANY middle-school culters on my ass for saying that), or just...get more ideas. There's a reviewer earlier who, I quote, "Tits are not a substitute for good writing," and this is probably the most agreeable thing I've read all evening.
The graphics are getting overplayed, very shoddy, and I think the originality of the characters themselves is collapsing. Maybe subtle revamps or something? I don't know.
And...better humor. I could see, maybe, why middle-school-hormone-driven kids like it (and I use that bearing that my sister and all her friends loved it to some extent as of recent), because of, well, puberty, but for the rest of us...
Well, let's just say, there's a lot more to be desired.
Alright, I just want to clear it all up for everyone:
I understand (and so does the author, probably) that this submission sucks. But, I also want to admit, if this wasn't Poser'd, that the 3d modelling was pretty good. Of course, if it was Poser'd, it was the biggest fuckin' waste of time I've ever seen keyframed. Ha, and just think, I'd probably bet money that he used Poser...
By the way, over all, all these things sucked. The original Numa Numa sucked. Quit redoing it. Please, for the love of god, and 3d animation.
I would like to thank you for the lack of stick figure animations as your first contribution. That alone makes me salute you.
The voice, though, the whiny, nasally voice...how horrid...
Other than that, I thought that it was good.
Please, though, the voices...

Damn
That was probably the sexiest introduction to a flash. Ever.
In fact, I was so enthralled by the scribbles, I dedicated my life to coloring people.

Dear god, I just wet myself.
That was by far the best chase scene, I've ever seen. Flash or otherwise.
